Come and discover the beautiful Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple, a true gem in American Fork! The journey began back on October 3, 1992, when the announcement was made, and just a year later, on October 8, 1993, the beloved Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley led the groundbreaking ceremony. What a special moment for everyone involved!

Fast forward to August 6, 1996, when the temple opened its doors for the first time to the public, welcoming visitors until September 21 that year. The dedication, performed by President Hinckley, marked an exciting chapter in the community’s history.

As the 49th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this beautiful structure stands as a symbol of faith and hope. It’s the second temple built in Utah County and is quite impressive, with four lovely ordinance rooms, eight peaceful sealing rooms, and a calming baptistry – perfect for those special moments.

The temple itself covers an expansive 107,240 square feet and is adorned with gorgeous Sierra white granite, artful glass windows, and elegant bronze doors – it’s definitely a sight to behold! Plus, it’s nestled on a spacious 16.7-acre lot, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Whether you’re a member of the community or just curious to learn more, the Mount Timpanogos Temple is a welcoming place for all.
