The Willamette Valley Oregon Temple is set to become an important landmark for the Latter-day Saints in the region. Announced on April 4, 2021, by President Russell M. Nelson, this new addition will serve the needs of over 154,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oregon.

Groundbreaking Ceremony
Elder Valeri V. Cordón presided at the groundbreaking ceremony held on October 29, 2022. This event marked the beginning of construction on a site that spans 10.5 acres at 3701 Corporate Way, Springfield, Oregon.
A Special Media Day
A media day was held on April 20, 2026, giving select guests a sneak peek. Tours for invited individuals took place on April 21 and April 22, prior to the public open house that ran from April 23 until May 9, excluding Sundays.
