The Ephraim Utah Temple: A New House of Devotion in Central Utah

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced exciting news for members and friends in central Utah. The Ephraim Utah Temple will soon open its doors to the public, marking a significant milestone for the region.

Location and Details

The Ephraim Utah Temple will be located at 400 East 200 North, Ephraim, Utah 84627. Sitting at an elevation of 5,567 feet, this Temple will serve members across a wide area of Utah’s heartland.

An Important Announcement

On May 1, 2021, Church leaders made the official announcement of the Ephraim Utah Temple’s creation. This declaration brought tremendous joy to the Saints in the region who had long anticipated such an announcement.

Construction Timeline

Construction of the Ephraim Utah Temple moved forward with great momentum. On August 27, 2022, President Russell M. Nelson, the Church’s Prophet, presided over the groundbreaking and site dedication ceremony. This sacred event marked the formal commencement of the Temple’s construction.

Architectural Features

The Ephraim Utah Temple was designed to serve its patrons with elegant and functional spaces. The Temple will encompass 39,000 square feet and include:

  • Four instruction rooms
  • Three sealing rooms
  • One baptistry
  • Four endowment rooms, each accommodating up to 30 people

The architectural rendering was unveiled to the public on March 4, 2022, giving members their first glimpse of the Temple’s beautiful design.

Open House and Dedication

Members and the public have much to anticipate. A media day is scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2026, providing press and media outlets an opportunity to tour the completed Temple. The following day, on Tuesday, September 1, invited guests will enjoy private tours of the sacred spaces within.
