Welcome to the Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple, a truly special place in Yukon, Oklahoma! This charming temple is the 95th dedicated temple in operation, and it has been a wonderful source of light and community since it was announced on March 14, 1999.
The journey began with great excitement when the groundbreaking ceremony took place on July 3, 1999, led by Elder Rex D. Pinegar. After a lot of hard work and dedication, the temple opened its doors to the public for the very first time from July 8 to July 22, 2000. It was a joyful time, filled with visitors who came to explore and appreciate the beauty of this sacred space. The official dedication happened shortly after, on July 30, 2000, with Apostle James E. Faust presiding—it was a proud moment for everyone involved!
