The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has officially announced exciting news regarding the Ephraim Utah Temple. This long-anticipated addition to the Church’s network of temples will serve the Saints in Utah’s central valley and surrounding regions.

Historic Announcement and Timeline

The announcement of the Ephraim Utah Temple came on May 1, 2021, marking a significant milestone for members in the area. The groundbreaking and site dedication took place on August 27, 2022, with Prophet Russell M. Nelson presiding over the sacred ceremony.

Location and Details

The Temple will be located at 400 East 200 North, Ephraim, Utah 84627, positioned at an elevation of 5,567 feet. This strategic location places the Temple in the heart of a region with a rich heritage of faith and dedicated Church members.

Temple Specifications and Capacity

The Ephraim Utah Temple will span 39,000 square feet, making it a substantial addition to the religious landscape of central Utah. The Temple features:

  • Four instruction rooms
  • Three sealing rooms
  • A single baptistry
  • Four endowment rooms, each capable of seating 30 people
