Groundbreaking and Site Dedication
Significant progress was made on September 27, 2024, when Elder Steven R. Bangerter conducted the groundbreaking and site dedication. During this event, he expressed hopes that the presence of the Temple would bring increased joy, prosperity, beauty, and unity to those in the area.
Features and Dimensions
The Cody Wyoming Temple will be built on 4.69 acres, featuring a single attached central tower that notably does not include a gold-leafed angel moroni statue. With a total area of 8,050 square feet, it will reach a height of 101 feet and is situated at an elevation of 5,134 feet.
Interior Design
Inside, the facility includes one instruction room, one sealing room, and a baptistry, catering to a variety of needs.
Architectural Vision
The Temple rendering released on March 27, 2023, showcased a multi-steeple design capped with a pyramidal spire, reflecting a sophisticated architectural vision.

The Open House is slated to occur from August 27, 2026, to September 12, 2026, excluding Sundays.
