Groundbreaking and site dedication took place on June 20, 1992, by the Apostle James E. Faust. Currently, the Orlando Florida Temple is undergoing extensive renovations. Major renovation activities commenced on July 1, 2024, and are anticipated to conclude with a public house in late 2027. The second dedication has not yet been announced due to the ongoing conditions of the renovation.

Inside, the Temple contains four instruction rooms, five sealing rooms, and one baptistry, all within its expansive 70,000 square feet.
