The announcement of the Orlando Florida Temple took place on February 17, 1990. This marked the beginning of a journey that culminated in groundbreaking and site dedication on June 20, 1992, by the Apostle James E. Faust. The Temple represents a significant milestone, as it was the first dedicated in Florida.
Architectural Features
The Orlando Florida Temple is distinctly designed, featuring an exterior finish of white cast precast concrete. One of its most striking features is the single attached central spire topped with a gold-leafed angel Moroni.
