Hey there! If you’re looking for a place that radiates peace and spiritual beauty, let me introduce you to the Phoenix Arizona Temple! This incredible temple is the 144th in operation and is located at 5220 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, right in the heart of Phoenix.
The story of this wonderful temple began back on May 24, 2008, when the beloved Prophet Thomas S. Monson announced its creation, sharing heartfelt sentiments about the blessings that come from such a sacred space. He mentioned that visitors would surely feel God’s love and grow in their understanding of their divine origins. Isn’t that just beautiful?
After a lot of anticipation, the groundbreaking took place on June 4, 2011, led by Apostle Ronald A. Rasband. Then, from October 10 to November 1, 2014, the doors were opened to the public for an open house, giving everyone a chance to peek inside before its big dedication!
Finally, on November 16, 2014, the temple was officially dedicated by President Monson, making it a special day for many. It sits on a spacious 5.19 acres, with an impressive size of 64,870 square feet and a majestic height of 90 feet. The exterior is clad in beautiful precast colored concrete panels, topped with a iconic spire featuring a golden Angel Moroni statue, which was placed there on May 15, 2013.
Inside, you’ll find a peaceful atmosphere with two instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and a lovely baptistry. Plus, there’s a chapel right in the same parking lot, making it easy for everyone to join together in temple work.
Whether you’re a local resident or just passing through, the Phoenix Arizona Temple welcomes you with open arms. It’s a truly special place to reflect and feel a connection to something greater. So, why not stop by and see for yourself? You might just leave feeling uplifted!
