The journey to this temple began with an enlightening announcement on May 24, 2008, by the beloved Prophet Thomas S. On June 4, 2011, the temple’s groundbreaking took place, with Apostle Ronald A. Rasband officiating the site dedication. The Phoenix Arizona Temple was dedicated on November 16, 2014, by Prophet Thomas S. Monson, marking a significant milestone for the area. Its striking exterior features precast integral colored concrete panels and is crowned by a stunning golden-leafed Angel Moroni statue, which was placed atop the spire on May 15, 2013.
