In the heart of Provo, where memories dwell,  

Stood a temple cherished, a story to tell.  

The “spaceship” and “cupcake,” with quirks that enchant,  

Held a place in the hearts of all who would chant.  

Now a new vision emerges, a change in the skies,  

The Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple shall rise.  

With foundations laid strong and a spire in view,  

A silhouette forms where the old once stood true.  

Windows are set like eyes wide with hope,  

While sheathing embraces the structure’s new scope.  

Concrete is poured, a path for the faithful,  

A miracle born beneath time’s gentle cradle.  

By mid to late twenty-seven, we’ll stand in the light,  

An open house waiting, hearts eager and bright.  

Though whispers of loss linger, nostalgia holds tight,  

New beauty will flourish, transforming our sight.  

Once, a petition rose, with voices combined,  

To preserve the old treasure, to honor its kind.  

Yet change, dear friends, is a dance we all share,  

Life’s cycle spins onward, with layers laid bare.  

For the temple we build will weave new threads of grace,  

And in time, it will blossom, find its own sacred place.  

Memories cherished, though the old fades away,  

A new home for many, to love and to pray.
