Raleigh North Carolina Temple an LDS Temple

The Raleigh North Carolina Temple is a beautiful and welcoming place! It’s actually the 68th temple dedicated and is located at 574 Bryan Dr, Apex, North Carolina 27502. The announcement for this lovely temple came on September 3, 1998, and the groundbreaking took place on February 6, 1999, with Loren C. Dunn leading the dedication.

The Raleigh North Carolina Temple opened its doors for a public open house from December 3rd to December 11th, 1999, which was a great opportunity for the Temple to explore its beautiful interiors. It was later dedicated over the weekend of December 18th to 19th, 1999, by the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley.

Fast forward to 2019, the Raleigh North Carolina Temple had another chance for the public to visit during a second open house from September 21st to September 28th. This led to its rededication on October 13, 2019, by the Apostle M. Russell Ballard.

Covering 3.17 acres, the Raleigh North Carolina Temple boasts a stunning exterior finish of beige limestone and features a single attached spire topped with a gold leafed Angel Moroni statue. Inside, it has two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a lovely baptistry. With a spacious area of 12,864 square feet and reaching a height of 83 feet 9 inches, it stands proudly at an elevation of 447 feet. Fun fact: it’s the first temple in North Carolina, making it a very special place for many!
