The Raleigh North Carolina Temple is a wonderful place, and it’s actually the 68th temple to be dedicated! If you’re looking to visit, the address is 574 Bryan Dr, Apex, North Carolina 27502.

This beautiful Raleigh North Carolina Temple was announced on September 3, 1998, and the groundbreaking happened on February 6, 1999, led by Loren C. Dunn. It opened its doors for a public open house from December 3rd to December 11th in 1999, allowing people to explore its stunning features before its dedication.

The dedication itself took place over two days, from December 18th to 19th, 1999, presided over by the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. There was even a second public open house later, from September 21st to September 28th, 2019, which is a testament to how special this temple is to the Temple.

The Raleigh North Carolina Temple was rededicated on October 13, 2019, by Apostle M. Russell Ballard, ensuring its ongoing importance in the area. It sits proudly on 3.17 acres and boasts a beautiful exterior finish of beige limestone. One of its standout features is the elegant single attached spire topped with a gold-leafed statue of the Angel Moroni.

Inside, you’ll find two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a lovely baptistry. The temple spans 12,864 square feet and reaches a height of 83 feet 9 inches, sitting at an elevation of 447 feet. Fun fact: it’s the very first temple in North Carolina!
