The Raleigh North Carolina Temple stands proudly as the 68th dedicated temple currently in operation, and it’s located at 574 Bryan Dr, Apex, North Carolina 27502. This remarkable temple was announced on September 3, 1998, and its groundbreaking took place on February 6, 1999, under the direction of Loren C. Dunn.

After much anticipation, the Raleigh North Carolina Temple opened its doors for a public open house from December 3rd to December 11th, 1999. It was officially dedicated over two significant days, December 18th and 19th, 1999, by the esteemed Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley.

In recent years, the Raleigh North Carolina Temple celebrated its importance with a second public open house from September 21st to September 28th, 2019, followed by its rededication on October 13, 2019, led by Apostle M. Russell Ballard.

The Raleigh North Carolina Temple occupies a generous 3.17 acres, adorned with a stunning exterior of beige limestone. Its architectural design features a single attached spire topped with a striking gold-leafed Angel Moroni statue. Inside, the temple boasts two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, all expertly arranged within an impressive 12,864 square feet. With a height of 83 feet 9 inches and sitting at an elevation of 447 feet, the Raleigh North Carolina Temple is not just a building; it is the first temple in North Carolina.
