Raleigh North Carolina Temple

The Raleigh North Carolina Temple stands proudly as the 68th dedicated temple currently in operation. Located at 574 Bryan Dr, Apex, North Carolina 27502, this remarkable temple has become a beacon of faith in the Temple.

The announcement of the Raleigh North Carolina Temple was made on September 3, 1998, and the groundbreaking ceremony took place on February 6, 1999, led by Loren C. Dunn. The anticipation culminated in an inspiring public open house from December 3rd to December 11th, 1999. The dedication of the temple occurred over two significant days, December 18th and 19th, 1999, presided over by the esteemed Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley.

In recent years, excitement was rekindled with a second public open house from September 21st to September 28th, 2019. This event led to the Raleigh North Carolina Temple’s rededication on October 13, 2019, by Apostle M. Russell Ballard, further solidifying its importance to the congregation.

The Raleigh North Carolina Temple encompasses 3.17 acres and boasts a stunning exterior finished in beige limestone. Its architectural features include a striking single attached spire adorned with a gold leafed Angel Moroni statue. Inside, the temple is designed to facilitate temple work with two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a well-appointed baptistry, all within an impressive 12,864 square feet. Standing at a height of 83 feet 9 inches and sitting at an elevation of 447 feet, the Raleigh North Carolina Temple commands attention and respect.
