Discovering the Bacolod Philippines Temple
The Bacolod Philippines Temple is an exciting addition to the architectural landscape of Negros Occidental. Located at Lot 1, Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City, it spans 12.3 acres and stands proudly at an elevation of 93 feet.
This distinguished Temple was announced on October 5, 2019, by President Russell M. Nelson during the 189th Semiannual General Conference. Following this proclamation, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place on December 11, 2022, led by Elder Taniela B. Wakolo.
The design of the Bacolod Philippines Temple features a single attached central tower, topped with a striking bronze-domed cupola and finished in an elegant cream color. Inside, the Temple is equipped with two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, providing various spaces for sacred acts.
In addition to the main building, a separate facility for patron housing will be available, alongside a distribution center located on the same property. This adds a practical aspect to the overall experience, aimed at enhancing convenience for those who partake in the offerings extended through the Temple.
The public open house is scheduled from April 16 to May 2, 2026, providing an opportunity for many to explore this remarkable place. The dedicatory event will be held on May 31, 2026, officiated by Apostle Neil L. Anderson.
This Temple marks a significant milestone as the sixth to be established in the Philippines and the second in the Visayas region. For those interested, the Bacolod Philippines Temple is set to become a cherished destination upon its opening, and the forthcoming months promise an engaging journey leading up to its dedication.
Whether one is drawn by architectural beauty, spiritual significance, or a connection to the local culture, the Bacolod Philippines Temple is poised to be a vibrant addition to the area.
