Nestled in the heart of Yorba Linda, California, this stunning Temple is set to open its doors to the public during an open house from April 30, 2026, to May 23, 2026. Situated at 17130 Bastanchury Rd, it marks an exciting addition to the spiritual landscape of Orange County.

The journey to this remarkable site began on April 4, 2021, when the announcement was made. Fast forward to June 18, 2022, when Elder Mark A. Bragg led the groundbreaking and site dedication, expressing, “It is an honor to be here on this beautiful California summer day to dedicate this site for the construction of a sacred Temple.”

Covering an impressive 5.46 acres, the Yorba Linda California Temple boasts an exterior finished in white blanco macael marble, beautifully accented by pink and gray rosa porrino granite. Its architectural design includes a single attached end tower, though it notably does not feature a gold-leafed angel Moroni statue.

Inside, the Temple encompasses 30,872 square feet, including two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry. Standing at 70 feet high and situated at an elevation of 361 feet, it offers a unique perspective of the surrounding area.

The interior design is equally captivating. Featuring Botticino Classico Extra marble combined with various other unique stones like BS Beige marble and Giallo Provenza marble, the design captures the essence of both elegance and tranquility. Decorative paint designs throughout the space draw inspiration from the local landscape and the historic Spanish Mission style, accented with 24-karat gold leaf in select areas.

Light plays a significant role in creating an inviting atmosphere, with decorative fixtures made from crystal and gold-colored metal, along with satin brass and plated stainless steel. Notably, Murano glass fixtures adorn the bride’s room, adding a touch of Italian elegance.

The art glass features are particularly stunning, incorporating palm elements and rondels inspired by Southern California’s historic architecture, showcasing hues of green, blue, soft white, orange, and yellow. This thoughtful integration of local aesthetics can be seen throughout the Temple, including the quarter-sawn sapele interior doors, which boast art glass panels and solid brass hardware.

The baptismal font is framed by bronze metal railings with a satin brushed finish, complemented by clear tempered glass featuring decorative etching. The ceilings are adorned with gypsum board, box beams, and decorative paint, creating a serene environment.

Unique to the Yorba Linda California Temple are four pieces of original artwork celebrating sacred themes alongside the natural beauty of Southern California. This artistic flair completes the atmosphere within this meticulously designed environment.

The final dedication of the Yorba Linda California Temple is scheduled for June 7, 2026, promising to be a momentous occasion that highlights both the beauty and significance of this newest addition to California’s spiritual heritage.
