Exciting times are ahead for Cincinnati as the much-anticipated Ohio Temple begins to take shape! While we’re still waiting for the official groundbreaking date, December 23, 2024, marked an inspiring milestone with the unveiling of the temple’s stunning exterior rendering. Nestled in a prime location, this beautiful sanctuary will occupy a picturesque 35-acre site at the intersection of Mason-Montgomery Road and Cedar Village Drive in the lively northern suburb of Mason.
Imagine a warm and inviting single-story sanctuary, stretching across approximately 29,630 square feet. This is not just a building; it’s a beacon of hope for the community. During the 194th Annual General Conference on April 7, 2024, President Russell M. Nelson shared his vision for the Cincinnati Ohio Temple, emphasizing its pivotal role in enriching the lives of all who will come through its doors.
Once completed, this impressive temple will join Ohio’s esteemed sacred sites, alongside the Columbus Ohio Temple—dedicated in 1999 and freshly renovated in 2023—and the Cleveland Ohio Temple, which was announced in April 2022. Not too far away, Kirtland, Ohio, a site bursting with LDS history from the 1830s, recently welcomed back its heritage when the Church reacquired ownership from the Community of Christ on March 5, 2024.
