Discovering the Fort Collins Colorado Temple

Nestled in the scenic foothills of Northern Colorado, the Fort Collins Colorado Temple stands as the 153rd Operating Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Officially located at 2180 Majestic Dr, Fort Collins, Colorado, this remarkable location offers an inviting presence to all who encounter it.

The journey began on August 24, 2013, when Ronald A. Rasband conducted the groundbreaking and site dedication. This moment marked the start of a significant endeavor, which culminated in a public open house from August 19 to September 10, 2016. During this period, an impressive 105,000 individuals explored the Temple, gaining insight into its features and the beliefs it embodies.

On October 16, 2016, the Fort Collins Colorado Temple was officially dedicated by Apostle Dieter F. Uchtdorf. This event was celebrated by many and represented a significant achievement for the region, being the second Temple built in the state of Colorado.

Spanning an impressive 42,000 square feet and built at a height of 112 feet, the design incorporates beige concrete panels that reflect the natural beauty surrounding Fort Collins. The Temple sits on a generous 15.69 acres, with a chapel conveniently located across the residential street.

A central highlight of the Fort Collins Colorado Temple is its single attached tower, crowned with a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, installed on August 26, 2015. This iconic figure serves as a distinctive feature that adds to the visual allure of the Temple.

Inside, visitors will find two instruction rooms, three sealing rooms, and a baptistry, providing various spaces for the sacred practices associated with the faith. At an elevation of 4,921 feet, the Temple is perfectly positioned to offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, further enhancing its serene setting.
