This prime location aims to significantly reduce travel times for those in the upstate region who have previously made the journey to the Columbia South Carolina Temple, which has been operational since 1999.

At an elevation of 953 feet, this Temple will be built to encompass 18,850 square feet and will feature a single-story design. The exterior rendering, released on May 27, 2026, showcases classical architectural elements, including a pedimented entrance supported by columns and an ornamented steeple topped with a white tower body and a metal-clad spire.

The decision to establish this Temple comes at a time when South Carolina is home to approximately 46,000 members of the faith, spread across 85 different groups.
