The announcement for the Heber Valley Utah Temple came during the October 3, 2021 General Conference, sparking enthusiasm among locals and church members alike. Shortly after, on October 8, 2022, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place, officiated by none other than Prophet Russell M. Nelson. This event marked a significant milestone in bringing this ambitious vision to life.
Impressive Dimensions and Features
Occupying an expansive 18.17 acres, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will encompass a notable 87,626 square feet, qualifying it as a large Temple within the Church. Standing tall at a height of 210 feet and sitting at an elevation of 6,711 feet, its architectural design features two attached end towers—distinctive and elegant in their absence of the traditional Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue.
Inside, the Temple will include four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and a single baptistry, providing ample facilities for various sacred ceremonies and activities.
