The announcement of the Moses Lake Washington Temple took place during the 189th Annual General Conference by Prophet Russell M. Nelson on April 7, 2019. Fast forward to October 10, 2020, when Brother Stapleton officiated the groundbreaking and Site Dedication. Following years of anticipation, the Temple was officially dedicated on September 17, 2023, by Apostle Quentin L. Cook.

A notable highlight in the Temple’s journey was the Public Open House, which ran from August 4 to August 19, 2023. During this period, an impressive 290,000 guests explored the intricate features and serene environment of the Temple, showcasing the community’s enthusiasm.
Architectural Features

Key Elements of Design
Plans indicated a single-story building of approximately 20,000 square feet, complemented by a nearby meetinghouse of about 17,000 square feet. The Temple reaches a height of 117 feet and is positioned at an elevation of 1,157 feet. The exterior is meticulously finished with Branco Cristal granite quarried in Portugal.
