Tacoma Washington Temple: A New Milestone in Washington State

The Tacoma Washington Temple, located at 1405 S 364th Wy, Federal Way, WA 98003, represents an exciting development for the region. This new addition was announced on October 2, 2022, during the General Conference by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, highlighting its significance within the spiritual landscape.

Covering an impressive 11.6 acres, the Tacoma Washington Temple’s design reflects a commitment to beauty and durability. The exterior will be finished in granite, ensuring that it blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings while offering a lasting impression. Architectural features include a single attached end spire, with the notable choice of not including a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, creating a distinct look.

Inside, the Temple will encompass a total area of 38,000 square feet, offering ample space for multiple purposes. It will include four instruction rooms, three sealing rooms, and one baptistry, emphasizing its diverse functions and community role. At a height of 186 feet and situated at an elevation of 200 feet, the Tacoma Washington Temple is designed to be a prominent feature of the landscape.

The rendering of the Tacoma Washington Temple was unveiled to the public on December 23, 2024, showcasing its elegant design and anticipated presence. While the Temple is currently in the planning stages and awaiting all permit approvals, this development marks a new chapter for those looking forward to its completion.

Stay tuned for more updates on this transformative endeavor as it progresses toward fruition.
