Exciting news is emerging from the Pacific Northwest! The Vancouver Washington Temple, set to grace the area by late 2028, is one project that many are eagerly anticipating. Located at the intersection of SE 20th Street and SE Bybee Road in Camas, Washington, this beautiful temple will be a beacon of hope and faith for thousands.
Announced by the Prophet Russell M. Nelson on October 1, 2023, this significant addition to the community was marked with a touching groundbreaking and site dedication on August 23, 2025, led by Mark A. Bragg. He beautifully expressed the purpose of the temple, stating, “A temple is truly the house of the Lord, a holy protection from the world where sacred ordinances of the gospel are performed by and for the living and in behalf of our ancestors.”
Spanning across 15.11 acres, the temple will boast stunning architectural features, including a striking single attached end spire that will rise 167 feet into the sky. Inside, the temple is designed to accommodate countless spiritual journeys, with four instruction rooms, a baptistry, and three sealing rooms, all within its 43,000 square feet of sacred space.
The excitement didn’t stop there! The temple rendering was unveiled to the public on September 3, 2024, giving everyone a glimpse of the upcoming masterpiece. This temple will be the sixth in Washington, a testament to the growing community of faith, which at the time of announcement included 280,000 members and over 489 congregations.
Stay tuned as this project unfolds, bringing new opportunities for Temple work and connection to the heart of our community!
