In the heart of Reno, where mountains embrace the sky,
Stands the ancient and sacred, where souls learn to soar high.
The Reno Nevada Temple, a beacon of light divine,
Erected on hallowed ground, a refuge, a shrine.
Eighty-first in honor, a covenant made known,
Its doors opened wide in 2000, seeds of faith were sown.
From the promise declared on an April day bright,
To the ground broken in July, a vision took flight.
By Rex D. Pinegar’s hands, the earth honored the call,
A sacred edifice rising, welcoming all.
With granite from distant quarries, steadfast and true,
Reflecting the love of a Savior, forever anew.
Two sealing rooms whisper of eternal ties,
Instruction rooms echo the truth that never dies.
In baptism’s waters, the spirit is renewed,
Inviting all hearts to seek, to learn, to be imbued.
Atop its graceful spire, the Angel Moroni gleams,
A harbinger of hope, guiding forth our dreams.
With glory bathed in gold, he watches from above,
An eternal reminder of the Lord’s boundless love.
Perched at five thousand feet, in the embrace of the sky,
This Temple invites all to ponder as they pass by.
To the seekers and the faithful, a promise beckons near,
A Temple of solace, free from doubt and fear.
In every prayer ascending, in every heartfelt plea,
The Reno Nevada Temple holds a sacred decree.
A testament of covenant, a haven for the meek,
In unity and purpose, His children learn to speak.
So come, let your heart journey to this holy place,
For within these sacred walls, we find His grace.
In the Temple of Reno, together we shall stand,
Bound by love and faith, as He extends His hand.
