Upon the highlands where the mountains meet the sky,

Stands the Reno Nevada Temple, a beacon standing nigh.

The 81st of its kind, a Temple of grace,

A  place for souls seeking a sacred Temple.

Built on a canvas of hope, on 7.9 acres wide,

It captures the heart of faith, where love and spirit abide.

The gray granite shines, quarried from Vermont’s embrace,

Each stone a testament, a reflection of divine grace.

Announced on a spring day, in April’s gentle glow,

A vision was birthed, a promise destined to grow.

Groundbreaking on a summer’s morn, led by Rex D. Pinegar’s hand,

Laid the foundation of a Temple, a covenant with the land.

A public open house welcomed all to behold,

From April’s soft embrace to the 15th, stories told.

Then came the day of dedication, a moment profound,

Prophet Thomas S. Monson’s voice, in reverence, did resound.

With its spire reaching heavenward, crowned by Moroni’s light,

A Temple of our journey, guiding us through the night.

Inside, the sacred rooms whisper of eternal ties,

Sealing hearts and families, beneath the boundless skies.

Two instruction rooms to guide us on our way,

A baptistry, where souls are washed, reborn to a new day.

In each corner of this haven, the Spirit’s presence flows,

A place where all can gather, where our deepest love grows.

At 5,195 feet, it stands with strength untold,

A Temple of solace, where faith transforms to gold.

O, to walk within these walls, where heaven’s echoes sing,

The Reno Nevada Temple—our hearts, it ever brings.

So let us gather closer, in this holy Temple of peace,

Embrace the divine promise, let our worries cease.

For within these sacred walls, amidst the granite and light,

We find our paths to heaven and the eternal, shining bright.
