Announced on April 2, 2017, by the Prophet Thomas S. Monson, the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple joins a list of 16 dedicated Temples already present in Utah. This list includes beloved sites like the Bountiful Utah Temple and the Salt Lake Temple. The Temple’s groundbreaking took place on October 19, 2019, under the direction of Craig C. Christensen, marking the beginning of construction for this cherished place.
The public had the opportunity to explore the Temple during an open house that ran from April 15, 2023, through July 8, 2023, with an impressive 587,809 guests participating. The grand dedication occurred on August 13, 2023, officiated by Apostle Henry B. Eyring.
