History and Construction
Announced on April 2, 2017, by Prophet Thomas S. Monson, the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple was part of a growing presence of temples in Utah, which at the time included 16 others. Groundbreaking occurred on October 19, 2019, under the direction of Craig C. Christensen, marking a significant step in its development. The public open house took place from April 15, 2023, through July 8, 2023, drawing an impressive 587,809 guests to tour the premises. Finally, the dedication took place on August 13, 2023, led by Apostle Henry B. Eyring.

Design Elements
The Saratoga Springs Utah Temple is built on 22.71 acres and boasts an impressive 97,836 square feet of space. Its exterior is clad in beige precast concrete panels that are eight inches thick, complemented by a spire made of glass fiber reinforced concrete. This Temple features a unique mountain design in a decorative band that wraps around its exterior, alongside motifs symbolizing local wetlands and snowy egrets—each representing the identity of Saratoga Springs City.
Interior Features
The interior design mirrors the natural beauty of its surroundings, including references to Utah Lake and the Wasatch Mountains. The color scheme incorporates purples, blues, greens, and golds, with art glass that pays homage to the Arts and Crafts movement. Key features within include four instruction rooms, six sealing rooms, and one baptistry, designed for various ceremonies.
Decorative Touches
Upon entering, visitors will notice the blend of materials such as carpet, porcelain tile, and stone. Custom carpets and area rugs feature carved patterns, particularly in the bridal room and patron waiting areas. The restrooms offer “rug-like” tile patterns, while the baptismal font showcases beautiful Mosaic Brillante glass tiles in an array of colors.
