Discovering the Tacoma Washington Temple

The Tacoma Washington Temple is an exciting addition to the landscape of Federal Way, Washington. Announced during the General Conference on October 2, 2022, by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, this significant development is generating interest and anticipation in the area.

Located at 1405 S 364th Wy, Federal Way, WA 98003, the address was officially revealed on September 16, 2024. Spanning 11.6 acres, the site is set to house a beautifully designed facility with an exterior finish crafted from granite, ensuring both durability and aesthetic appeal.

One of the standout architectural features of the Tacoma Washington Temple is its single attached end spire, which will be an elegant addition to the skyline. Notably, there will be no gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue atop the spire, distinguishing it from many other temples.

Inside, the Tacoma Washington Temple will be well-equipped with four instruction rooms, three sealing rooms, and one baptistry, providing ample space for various functions and ceremonies. Covering a total area of 38,000 square feet, this design aims to meet the needs of its intended purposes while creating an inviting atmosphere.

Rising 186 feet tall and positioned at an elevation of 200 feet, the Tacoma Washington Temple will offer a commanding presence in the region. As of now, the project is still in the planning stages, awaiting all necessary permit approvals before construction can commence. The rendering of the temple was released to the public on December 23, 2024, providing a glimpse of what to expect.

As this notable undertaking moves forward, the anticipation for the Tacoma Washington Temple continues to build, promising to be a significant addition to the area.
