A Journey Through Time
The history of this Temple began on April 2, 2011, when it was announced by the Prophet Thomas S. Monson. On August 24, 2013, the groundbreaking and site dedication took place, led by Ronald A. Rasband, marking the commencement of this much-anticipated addition to the area.
After years of planning and construction, the public open house held from August 19 to September 10, 2016, attracted an impressive 105,000 attendees who came to explore this sacred place. Following this period, the formal dedication of the Fort Collins Colorado Temple occurred on October 16, 2016, officiated by Apostle Dieter F. Uchtdorf.
Architectural Highlights
At 42,000 square feet and soaring to a height of 112 feet, this Temple features a single attached central tower crowned with a gold-leafed Angel Moroni statue, which was installed on August 26, 2015. The presence of this statue adds a distinct touch to its elegant design.
Inside, the Fort Collins Colorado Temple boasts two instruction rooms, three sealing rooms, and a baptistry, providing facilities that cater to various sacred rites. Just across the residential street sits a charming chapel, enhancing the overall experience for those who frequent this area.
