Heber Valley Utah Temple: A New Addition to the Heber Valley

The Heber Valley Utah Temple is poised to enhance the picturesque landscape of Heber City, Utah. As the construction injunction has been lifted, excitement builds for this significant addition, which was first announced on October 3, 2021.

Located at 1400 E Center St, this new Temple will occupy an expansive 18.17-acre lot, providing ample space for its impressive design. The groundbreaking and site dedication occurred on October 8, 2022, officiated by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, marking a pivotal moment in its development.

Architecturally, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will feature two attached end towers, creating a stunning visual profile against the backdrop of Wasatch County’s scenic mountains. Notably, it will not include the traditional Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, offering a distinct appearance that aligns with its unique identity.

The Temple will encompass a total area of 87,626 square feet, qualifying it as a large Temple within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and will rise to a height of 210 feet. To enhance functionality, it will contain four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and a single baptistry, serving various needs of attendees.

Sitting at an elevation of 6,711 feet, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will be beautifully integrated into the breathtaking rural mountain valley, located just over 40 miles from Salt Lake City. This charming area is known for its tranquil beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities, making it a wonderful setting for this new addition.

The rendering of the Heber Valley Utah Temple was released to the public on September 19, 2022, providing a glimpse of its future elegance and design. Once completed, it will proudly stand as the 28th Temple in Utah, further enriching the spiritual landscape of the region.
