Exploring the Lehi Utah Temple: A Landmark on the Horizon

The Lehi Utah Temple is set to become a remarkable addition to the landscape of Utah, providing a unique facility for its growing community. Officially announced on April 7, 2024, during the 194th General Conference, this temple is positioned to become the 30th such building in the state.

Location and Site Details

The Lehi Utah Temple’s future home will be on a generous 22.48-acre site located at 3950 N Center St, Lehi, Utah 84043. This prime location is easily accessible and promises to attract visitors from both near and far. Enhancing community functionality, the temple will share a parking lot with a new meetinghouse, facilitating greater convenience for all visitors.

Design and Structure

One of the most striking aspects of the Lehi Utah Temple is its architectural design. The Lehi LDS Temple will feature a single attached central spire, creating a beautiful silhouette against the Utah skyline. Interestingly, it will not have a gold-leafed representation of the Angel Moroni, which is often seen atop many other temples.

With a spacious layout of 85,000 square feet, this temple is designed to accommodate the needs of its large community. The elevation of 4,985 feet adds to the majestic presence of this structure, making it a landmark that will stand out in the region.

Current Status and Future Developments

As of now, the Lehi Utah Temple continues to be in the planning stages. An official construction date has yet to be announced, but anticipation is already building within the community. On February 24, 2025, a rendering was released to the public, allowing residents to glimpse what this grand structure will eventually look like.

It’s worth noting that at the time of the announcement, Utah was home to approximately 2.2 million members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with around 5,400 congregations. The establishment of the Lehi Utah Temple is expected to serve as a vital resource, catering to these sizable numbers and providing a place for the community to engage in their beliefs.
