A Historic Announcement and Groundbreaking
The journey of the Bountiful Utah Temple began with its announcement to the public on February 2, 1990. Following two years of anticipation, the groundbreaking ceremony took place on May 2, 1992. This significant event was presided over by Prophet Ezra Taft Benson, drawing a crowd of 7,500 in attendance, with another 2,500 participating remotely.
Grand Opening and Dedication
