This remarkable building, dedicated to spiritual growth and reflection, offers a unique architectural presence with its beige concrete panels and a striking central tower that rises to 112 feet.
The journey toward the creation of the Temple began with its announcement on April 2, 2011, by the Prophet Thomas S. Monson. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 24, 2013, led by Ronald A. Rasband, which marked the official start of this inspiring endeavor.
The dedication took place on October 16, 2016, officiated by Apostle Dieter F. Uchtdorf. Before this significant event, a public open house was held from August 19 to September 10, 2016, attracting an impressive 105,000 tours. This allowed many to appreciate the exquisite details within the facility and understand its purpose.
Occupying 15.69 acres, the Fort Collins Colorado Temple features a beautiful chapel set across the residential street, enhancing the serene environment. Inside, there are two instruction rooms, three sealing rooms, and a baptistry, designed to accommodate various religious practices. The interior spans 42,000 square feet, providing ample space for reflection and contemplation.
