The announcement for the Heber Valley Utah Temple took place on October 3, 2021, during the October General Conference. This moment marked the beginning of a vision for many in the region. The groundbreaking and site dedication occurred shortly afterward on October 8, 2022, led by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, bringing the plans into action.

Architectural Features

Spanning an impressive 18.17 acres, the Heber Valley Utah Temple will exhibit stunning architectural features, including two attached end towers. Notably absent will be a Gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, which distinguishes this particular design. The floor plan is expected to accommodate four instruction rooms, four sealing rooms, and a single baptistry, catering to various needs.

With a total area of 87,626 square feet, the Heber Valley Utah Temple qualifies as a large Temple, and it will rise to a height of 210 feet. Its elevation of 6,711 feet makes it among the highest Temples, blending beautifully with the surrounding natural landscape.
