With its dedication, this Temple became the westernmost house of the Lord in Florida and the first dedicated by Elder Patrick Kearon from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Its district comprises eight stakes, including five in northern Florida, two in southern Georgia, and one in Alabama, reflecting a sizable area of spiritual commitment.
Florida was home to over 172,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, connected through nearly 275 congregations at the time of the dedication. The Tallahassee Florida Temple marks a notable milestone as the 202nd temple dedicated and the last in 2024, affirming its importance in both local and broader contexts.
