Lindon Utah Temple Opens for Public Tours Starting March 12

The Lindon Utah Temple, a sacred space in the heart of Utah, proudly stands as the 25th temple in the state and marks the 216th globally. Following a period of public viewing, an official dedication ceremony is set for May 3, a significant milestone for all who hold this sacred site in high regard.
The Lindon Utah Temple brings amidst the vibrancy of Utah Valley. Having observed its construction from the ground up as we stand in the wake of this beautiful temple, I am once again reminded of their necessity in my life.
The design of the Lindon Utah Temple is particularly striking, incorporating themes inspired by the linden tree blossom, which gives the city its name. This elegant motif is present throughout the woodwork and stained glass, while warm green tones and dark wood create an inviting and grounded atmosphere.
The temple is a place where we learn about God’s love for each of his children and his extraordinary mercy for us. This sentiment encapsulates the purpose of the Lindon Utah Temple as a space dedicated to spiritual growth and understanding.
There is an anticipation for around 1,000 people to participate daily, highlighting the transformation of the once flat plot of land into a cherished area in the valley. Situated within a residential neighborhood, the temple often draws the attention of those traversing the nearby Murdock Canal Trail, who stop to capture the beauty of the grounds.
Elder Jorge T. Becerra of the Utah Area Presidency noted the unique role of temples, describing them as places set apart for sacred purposes that illuminate the path of knowledge and growth, helping individuals strive for greater holiness.
While specific public tours do not require reservations, it is important to note that the temple will be closed on Sundays and will specifically not be open on April 4 during the open house to accommodate church programs.
