The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the dates for the open house and dedication of the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple

Great news for our community! The Willamette Valley Oregon Temple is set to open its doors with a public open house beginning April 23, 2026, followed by a special dedication on June 7, 2026. This momentous announcement made by President Russell M. Nelson on April 4, 2021, marks a significant chapter for the 154,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oregon.

Located at 3701 Corporate Way in Springfield, this temple, nestled on 10.5 beautiful acres, enhances the landscape with its inspiring architecture. The central spire reaches 120 feet high, serving as a beacon of hope and faith. Inside, the welcoming spaces include two instructional rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry—for worship and reflection in its generous 30,000 square feet.

The excitement began on October 29, 2022, during the groundbreaking ceremony led by Elder Valeri V. Cordón, marking a new beginning for Latter-day Saints in the area, whose legacy dates back to settlers in 1887.

As the open house approaches, anticipation builds for everyone, whether you’re part of the community or simply curious about the temple’s meaning. This temple will stand as a beautiful symbol of faith, unity, and the enduring spirit of our community. Save the date; this celebration will inspire all who attend!
