Affectionately called “spaceship” or “cupcake,”

A new name has come, a vision to unfold,  

The Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple, bold.  

Its foundation is laid, with reverence and grace,  

A spire now rising to reclaim this sacred place.  

Windows are being framed with loving care,  

While whispers of the past float softly on the air.  

Yet among us linger the echoes of loss,  

For the former design that sparked joy at a cost.  

Many grieve for a structure so whimsically bright,  

A cherished symbol that once graced the night.  

A petition was born, voices unified and clear,  

To preserve memories dear, instilling hope and fear.  

Yet as we embrace change, may we hold sacred space,  

For growth and renewal mirror life’s tender pace.  

Though the old temple’s charm in time may fade,  

A new spirit will rise, in love it is made.  

In the hearts of the faithful, this place will transcend,  

A home for new stories, a future to mend.

For this temple will flourish, in faith we abide.
