The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple is an architectural marvel covering 85,624 square feet and rising to a height of 156 feet. Built on 8.28 acres, its exterior is crafted from reinforced concrete, featuring a distinctive finish with a 16-inch thick white cement aggregate cast stone. A central spire topped with a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue is one of its most recognizable features.
The Temple offers four instruction rooms, seven sealing rooms, and a baptistry, facilitating a variety of important ceremonies. Notably, it was the first Temple constructed with a central spire, echoing the ancient Nephite Temple design.
Renovations and Modern Enhancements
The most recent renovations, which took two years to complete, were culminated in a rededication on June 4, 2017, by Apostle Henry B. Eyring.
