Vancouver Washington Temple

Vancouver Washington Temple Aerial View

Exciting news for the Pacific Northwest! The Vancouver Washington Temple, set to grace the area by late 2028, is a highly anticipated addition to the region. Nestled at the intersection of SE 20th Street and SE Bybee Road in Camas, Washington, this temple will not only serve as a spiritual haven but also as a stunning architectural landmark.

Announced by the beloved Prophet Russell M. Nelson on October 1, 2023, the project took a significant step forward with its groundbreaking and site dedication on August 23, 2025, led by Mark A. Bragg. He beautifully expressed the temple’s purpose, stating, “A temple is truly the house of the Lord, a holy protection from the world where sacred ordinances of the gospel are performed by and for the living and in behalf of our ancestors.”

Occupying an impressive 15.11 acres, the Vancouver Washington Temple will showcase a striking design featuring a single attached end spire, rising to a height of 167 feet and an elevation of 267 feet. Spanning 43,000 square feet, it will house four instruction rooms, a baptistry, and three sealing rooms, providing plenty of space for Temple work and community gatherings.

The excitement doesn’t end there—the temple’s rendering was unveiled to the public on September 3, 2024, offering a glimpse of what’s to come. This temple will become the sixth in Washington, catering to a vibrant community of 280,000 members and over 489 congregations at the time of the announcement.

As we await its completion, the Vancouver Washington Temple promises to be a beacon of hope and faith for many, enriching the lives of those in the region and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates as this magnificent project unfolds!
