The Lindon Utah Temple is an inspiring addition to the landscape of Lindon, Utah. Situated at 850 E Center Street, this beautiful edifice is set to open its doors for an extensive open house from March 12, 2026, through April 11, 2026. This event invites many to experience the unique beauty of this sacred place.

Significant Milestones

The announcement of the Lindon Utah Temple was made on October 4, 2020, by the Prophet Russell M. Nelson. This marked the beginning of a journey that culminated in the groundbreaking and site dedication on April 23, 2022, conducted by Elder Kevin W. Pearson. He expressed hope that the construction would bless the local area with peace, love, and unity.

Following construction, the Temple will be officially dedicated on May 3, 2026. Spanning 11.87 acres and built with stunning granite, the Lindon Utah Temple features architectural highlights, including two attached end spires, without the traditional gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue.

Features and Facilities

With a total floor area of 87,005 square feet, the Temple is designed to cater to many needs. It includes four instruction rooms, each accommodating up to 50 individuals, four sealing rooms, and two baptistries. The Temple is beautifully adorned with stained glass that reflects the area’s agrarian roots, incorporating designs inspired by the Linden Tree Flower.

The exterior of the Temple is completed with a parking lot that encircles the building in a circular fashion, enhanced by black ornamental fencing. An appealing feature is the bridal party area located at the northeast corner, providing a picturesque backdrop for photographs.

Supporting the Local Area

With a population of approximately 11,000, Lindon is nestled between Pleasant Grove and Orem, Utah. The presence of the Lindon Utah Temple stands as a testament to the community’s growth and the needs of its residents. It also holds the distinction of being the 25th dedicated Temple in Utah and the seventh to be constructed in Utah County.

Leadership and Vision

The first President and Matron of the Lindon Utah Temple are Lynn McKinlay Brätt and Elizabeth Ann Prestwich Brätt. Their leadership will guide the Temple in its mission, supporting the spiritual and communal needs of the area.

The Lindon Utah Temple is poised to be a remarkable place for service and inspiration, enhancing the lives of those in Lindon and beyond. As we look forward to the open house in 2026, the anticipation for this beautiful Temple continues to grow.
