In Reno’s embrace, where the mountains soar,
Stands a Temple of light, a celestial door.
The Reno Nevada Temple, a beacon so bright,
An oasis of peace, in day and in night.
Established in vision, on an April morn,
When hope was ignited, and faith was reborn.
With hearts full of promise, on July’s fateful day,
Rex D. Pinegar gathered, paving the way.
A ground breaking ceremony, where spirits took flight,
With prayers and intentions, the future felt right.
In April of 2000, the doors opened wide,
Welcoming all to the sacred inside.
The Prophet Thomas S. Monson, with love and with grace,
Dedication whispered in every warm Temple.
Each stone tells a story, each room holds a prayer,
An echo of faith that lingers in air.
Gray granite stands strong, with a spire so tall,
Crowned by Moroni, watched over us all.
A Temple of hope, of guidance and peace,
In this holy haven, our worries release.
With two sealing rooms echoing love’s tender ties,
And instruction rooms brightening the seeker’s eyes,
A baptistry flows, where souls find their start,
In this sacred abode, the Reno Nevada Temple of heart.
Ten thousand square feet of divine affection,
A refuge for members to go into, a profound connection.
At 5,195 feet, where the spirit can roam,
In the Reno Nevada Temple, we find our true home.
So come with your burdens, your joys, and your fears,
In this hallowed Temple, find solace through tears.
For in every prayer shared, and each moment divine,
The Reno Nevada Temple invites hearts to align.
