Exploring the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple

The Willamette Valley Oregon Temple is a significant addition to the landscape of Springfield, Oregon, located at 3701 Corporate Way. Announced by President Russell M. Nelson on April 4, 2021, the preparations for its public open house began on April 23 and will culminate with a dedication set for June 7, 2026.

With a rich history, Oregon has been home to over 154,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The early settlers arrived in the area in 1887, and today there are more than 300 congregations across the state.

Spanning 10.5 acres, the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple features an impressive architectural design, characterized by a single attached central spire. The overall area of the Temple covers a total of 30,000 square feet and reaches a height of 120 feet, situated at an elevation of 429 feet.

Inside, the Temple includes two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, designed to facilitate various religious practices and ceremonies.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on October 29, 2022, presided over by Elder Valeri V. Cordón, marking an important milestone in the construction of this new facility.
