Discovering the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple

The Willamette Valley Oregon Temple is a notable addition to the landscape of Springfield, Oregon, marking a significant moment for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the region. With a construction announcement made by President Russell M. Nelson on April 4, 2021, this site is poised to become an important spiritual center for the local Latter-day Saints, who number around 154,000 in Oregon.

Located at 3701 Corporate Way, the Temple spans an impressive 30,000 square feet and occupies 10.5 acres. Its architectural design features a central spire that stands 120 feet tall, creating a striking presence in the area. The elevation of the Temple is 429 feet, adding to its majestic aspect.

Inside, the Willamette Valley Oregon Temple houses two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, which cater to a variety of sacred ceremonies and functions. The design combines both beauty and practicality, reflecting the devotion of the members it serves.

The groundbreaking ceremony for this significant endeavor took place on October 29, 2022, presided over by Elder Valeri V. Cordón. This event marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Latter-day Saints in the Willamette Valley as they look forward to the upcoming public open house, set to begin on April 23, 2026, culminating in the dedication ceremony on June 7, 2026.
