Discover the Yorba Linda California Temple

Nestled on 5.46 acres in the picturesque Yorba Linda area, the Yorba Linda California Temple stands as a remarkable addition to the architectural landscape of Orange County. With an address at 17130 Bastanchury Rd, this exquisite building is poised to be a central part of local life.

The announcement of the Yorba Linda California Temple came on April 4, 2021, generating excitement among residents and enthusiasts alike. Following this, the ceremonial groundbreaking and site dedication took place on June 18, 2022, led by Elder Mark A. Bragg who remarked, “It is an honor to be here on this beautiful California summer day to dedicate this site for the construction of a sacred temple.”

With a spacious design of 30,872 square feet and reaching a height of 70 feet, the exterior features stunning finishes. The white blanco macael marble, accented with pink and gray rosa porrino granite, creates an elegant facade. A single attached end tower completes the striking architectural ensemble, although it does not include a gold-leafed angel moroni statue.

Inside, the temple is meticulously designed with two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry, lending itself to a range of significant events. The interior features rich materials, including Botticino Classico Extra marble and several other exquisite stone varieties such as Costa Esmeralda granite and Rojo Alicante marble. The design draws inspiration from the local landscape and historic Spanish Mission architecture, including intricate decorative paint designs with 24-karat gold leaf accents.

In addition to its stunning stonework, the decorative light fixtures in the temple offer a blend of crystal, gold-colored metal, satin brass, and plated stainless steel. Notably, the bride’s room is adorned with beautiful Murano glass fixtures, while crystal chandeliers and sconces provide an ambiance of sacred elegance throughout key spaces.

The artistic elements don’t end there—four original pieces of artwork within the temple celebrate both sacred themes and the breathtaking beauty of Southern California. The interior doors are crafted from quarter-sawn sapele wood, featuring art glass panels embellished with US4 solid brass hardware.

Stepping into the temple, one can appreciate the baptismal font railings, which showcase a satin brushed bronze finish paired with clear tempered glass, adding a contemporary touch to its timeless design. The ceilings incorporate gypsum board with custom decorative paint, alongside millwork box beams and molding.

For those looking to experience this exquisite addition to Yorba Linda, a public open house is scheduled from April 30, 2026, through May 23, 2026, leading up to the dedication on June 7, 2026. This will undoubtedly be an exciting time for the area as the Yorba Linda California Temple opens its doors to the public, further enriching the vibrant tapestry of Yorba Linda.
